Recently, I’ve been working on both tools. Canva and Freepik have both got amazing features. We’ll need tools that work quickly and don’t slow them down. While both tools are efficient insofar as they’re both online(and you don’t have to wait for a program to load)😉.

Features you’ll find in both tools

Let’s set a foundation. Canva and Freepik offer many similar and useful features which help everyone in their day to day life. Before I dive into how they differ, it’s worth sharing the great features they have in common.

Canva and Freepik are internet-based graphic design tools. They both offer easy, basic graphic creation and photo editing capabilities. They are both very intuitive to use, unlike some Adobe Products!

Both tools also offer a free version of their service. You don’t have to pay a monthly fee to start using them. Of course, to access the most features from each tool, you must become a paid member.

Here’s a bird’s eye view of what you get with both Canva and Freepik:

  1. Pre-made templates to create images that fit perfectly across common social media sites
  2. Ability to upload images or use royalty-free images offered by Canva or Freepik
  3. Drag-and-drop icons, text or images over graphics and pictures for easy design
  4. Access to a bunch of fonts to overlay graphics quotes or headlines
  5. Ability to download designs and use them immediately in either web or print media
  6. Optional app integrations

Now that we’ve covered their similarities, let’s get to the real reason you’re all here: how are they different?

Freepik tool has got many features. But, it’s difficult to use for beginners. Because you can’t edit any template online it shows some weird options to download any template. To use this tool need to do a little research. There is an interesting feature recently introduced a beta-version feature which helps in editing templates online. Again, there is a limitation is that we have a less range of templates in beta-version. This is compatible with the desktop and mobile phone.

If you’re a pro, then this is the best option for you.

Canva!Canva!Canva! My favourite tool. It has got a very wide range of templates. You can even find them in search and search features are categorized based on your choice and can select them. After selecting the type you can directly edit then and there itself.

Templates are categorized as Facebook posts, Instagram posts, Instagram Stories, Facebook Covers, Flyers, Presentations and many more. Like you name it, they have it.

For using this tool, you don’t need to have any prior experience. It is very user-friendly.

It is available as an application in mobile for both IOS and Android.

How to use Canva?

  1. Just need to create an account using your Google or Facebook account.
  2. Search your desired template.
  3. After selecting the template, click on use this template.
  4. Edit as per your wish and select the format you wish to download
  5. Then, Download! Or else you can give print directly.

I’ve listed my recent work done by using both canva and Freepik! Please, Have a look.

Work done by using freepik tool
All my presentations is done by using CANVA!!

So, in my belief, Canva is the best tool to use for beginners!
